Updated quarterly, the loose-leaf manual Odutola on Canadian Trade-mark Practice, a comprehensive reference work, published by Thomson Reuters is used by practitioners, the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and the Courts.
Odutola on Canadian Trade-mark Practice has been cited with approval by the Canadian Trade-marks Opposition Board and recently in the 2006 judgment of Attorney General (Quebec) v. St-Germain Transport (1994) Inc. In St-Germain Transport (1994) Inc., the Court cited with approval our manual to exempt an unregistered trade-mark from the French language requirements of the Quebec Charter of the French Language.
Recognition of Bayo Odutola by the Law Society of Upper Canada, the professional body that regulates lawyers in Ontario, as one of the few dual certified specialists in IP Law (Trade-mark/Copyright) in Ontario.
